The Community Tournament takes place every third Tuesday of the month — free, online, and open to everyone.
Start times (pick one; the standings combine all three): 2026-11-17 12:00 UTC · 2026-11-17 19:00 UTC · 2026-11-18 01:00 UTC. Times are shown in UTC here and in your local time on this page.
The tournament is completely free — no entry fee, no prizes, no gambling. You play one full match of Hong Kong Mahjong across all four winds — 16 or more hands, usually around two hours — and your finishing place at your table decides your standing.
Check-in opens 60 minutes before the start. Sign in, check in, and you are seated automatically when the clock strikes — no organizer to chase, no paperwork.
Tables grow with the community: however many players register, everyone who registers gets a seat. The draw seats groups of four, and where the numbers do not divide evenly the remaining seats are filled by bots — nobody ever has to sit a round out.
Tournament tables use the standard competitive rule: a winning hand has to be worth at least 3 faan. Cheap hands cannot be declared, so aim for a hand with real value from the start. See the faan scoring chart and the faan calculator.
Every third Tuesday of the month, at three different times, so every region can play in its evening. Pick one time; the standings combine all three. Every time is shown on this page in your local timezone.
Create a free account, then hit Register when registration opens. On the day, check in during the 60 minutes before the start and your seat is assigned automatically.
No. The tournament is strictly free: no entry fees, no cash prizes, and no gambling of any kind. You play for placement points, standings, and bragging rights.
Come anyway! The system enforces every rule and counts every faan for you, so you can never misscore. Newer players are grouped with opponents of similar strength, and a finished tournament is one of the best ways to improve.
