The best move at every turn — and your mistakes, graded

At every turn, for every seat, the replay shows the recommended play — discard, claim, or a special-hand plan — with the reasoning spelled out. Every decision you made is graded GOOD, OKAY or MISTAKE, and jump buttons take you straight to your mistakes. Most players find their losses come down to two or three moments; the replay puts you directly in front of them.

The numbers, in plain language

Before and after every move you see your exact tiles-from-ready count (向聽 — how many tiles you still are from calling), and a live tiles count: how many copies of the tiles you need are still unseen. That second number is the heart of good mahjong — counting what is visible instead of hoping — and the replay does the counting for you, every single turn. A built-in plain-language legend explains every number and symbol on screen.

Learn defence, not just attack

The replay reads the table the way experienced players do. It warns you when an opponent's claimed melds commit them to a suit, and its reading of the discards flags when someone “may be collecting” a suit — spotting the concealed Half Flush or Full Flush hands that punish careless discards. And when your own hand provably cannot win any more — waits exhausted, or too few draws left — the advice switches to defence: it recommends the safest tile and grades your play on safety instead of speed. Knowing when to stop attacking is the skill that separates steady winners from everyone else, and it is the hardest one to learn alone.

Advice that understands faan

In games with a 3-faan minimum, the fastest hand is often the wrong hand. The replay's recommendations reason about scoring plans — steering toward Half Flush, All Pungs or Full Flush when speed alone won't clear the minimum — the same trade-off covered in our faan scoring guide.
